Covid 19

Currently I am able to provide essential medical care during this lockdown. Therefore if you need treatment for your physical or mental health please contact me.

How I am I going to keep you safe during the pandemic?

Everything is explained below. Don’t worry I don’t expect you to memorise it. I will guide you throughout but I wanted to give you the opportunity to see what I have put in place, to enable you to make an informed decision as to whether you would like a face to face treatment at this time

Safety Overview

To be able to proceed safely with your appointment, there needs to be a few changes to ensure that we are all able to stay safe and well during this time. Obviously if you have any Covid 19 symptoms you know not to attend any appointments.

I already run a very hygienic treatment room but will be adding in a few extra elements in light of the situation. Therefore if you choose to have a treatment with me then I would ask that you follow the process as laid out below.

Our Approach to keeping you safe

I want you to feel safe yet comfortable when having your treatments so if there is anything else I can support you with then just let me know at any time.

Thank you for your time and understanding and I look forward to working with you.

On arrival

The treatment room, toilet area and hallway will be fully disinfected prior to your arrival with 90% alcohol treatment and disinfectant spray. A diffuser with natural cleansing oils will be on throughout your treatment. All the areas will be immediately disinfected and cleaned again on your departure.

On your arrival, I will open the door and then go straight into the treatment room.

On entering please close the door and then go into the cloakroom to wash your hands prior to entering the treatment room. All towels are washed immediately after your treatment so please use the towel provided.

On entering the treatment room please close the door and sit in the armchair. The chair covering is washed immediately after your treatment.

In the treatment room

Water will be provided in a bottle which you can take with you.

We will be sitting 2 metres apart whilst we talk. After talking and it is time to conduct your tongue and pulse diagnosis I will put on a mask and protective face screen. I will stand back whilst taking your tongue and pulse as I will not be wearing gloves. I will be using antiseptic hand spray before and after your diagnosis. You are also welcome to use the provided hand sanitiser at any point if you wish.

Using needles

Before you lay on the couch, I will ask you to put on the provided individually wrapped face mask. This is while I am needling you. Sheets and blankets are washed after each individual use and the couch cleaned after each use.

I will be using an antiseptic wipe first in the area of the point before I feel for and needle the point. I will not be wearing gloves but I will be using the hand sanitiser.

After needling is completed, I will move 2m away if we are talking. If I am working on you physically, I will be using tools as far as possible and may also use gloves at this point, if appropriate. The tools are always disinfected after use.

I will remove the needles in the same way as normal. Once the needles have been removed I will move away from the couch and ask you to dispose of your mask.

Payment

With regards to payment, if you prefer to pay online then please let me know and I will provide my bank details. If you prefer to pay by cash then please just leave the money on the shelf by your chair.

Further discussion

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your treatment or the information stated here then please do call me to discuss further. I am also conducting online and telephone consultations, if you prefer, or it is not suitable for you to see me face to face. Obviously this means I cannot use needles or work on physically painful areas but it may be of use at this time.

"I really don’t like needles but went to see Kerrie as I had a persistent pain in my arm. Instead she used a combination of gua sha, reiki and acupressure all of which helps to relieve the pain. I am working up to the needles!”

Mr D

"Following keyhole surgery I was in deep physical pain to my right side, suffering for almost a week in pain, feeling nauseous and struggling to walk. It was suggested to me I try to see if acupuncture would help. I was introduced to Kerrie by a mutual friend and at once I was put at ease by her relaxed and professional manner. After my first treatment with Kerrie the pain dispersed immediately along with the nausea."

Mrs H

“I have had acupuncture previously but I found the combination with coaching meant it had far more impact because it helped me to focus my mind as well as treat my body. This enabled me to quickly come up with a plan of action.”
