Kerrie’s Philosophy and Approach
In my previous job role I always preferred when I could work with an individual and focus on their needs and discuss the direction and approach they wanted to take and offer ideas about how they could achieve that goal. It was where I developed my passion for helping individuals to reach their potential, whatever that may be.
I very much took this philosophy and approach into my acupuncture career and developed it further, so now my focus is helping others to be who they are meant to be. I want to support them to overcome their obstacles as far as possible and enable them to do what they want, both in their day to day lives and for their long term goals.
In order to achieve that I build a therapeutic relationship with each of my clients, listening very carefully, in a completely non judgemental way, so that each individual can tell me anything they need. By encouraging and allowing honesty this means we can more quickly focus on what is hindering you. This is extremely important if we are dealing with emotional or mental well being but also applies to physical well being, as we need to identify what is causing the body to be out of balance.
My approach is warm, supportive and caring but I do have a tough, honest and direct edge! For example if dealing with emotional issues I ask challenging questions to enable you to move forward. This can feel uncomfortable and I gently push people to that uncomfortable edge. However you are always in control and can stop at any point – although I tend to recognise that I have pushed far enough before it becomes too much. I think it is important that you know this is how I work with my clients and it is an approach that works for them and also means that we tend to resolve issues more quickly as a result. If you are unsure how you feel about this then please call me and talk it through.
I can treat a wide number of conditions but I specialise in mental wellbeing. I support people with their emotional needs such as managing grief, depression, anxiety and stress.
The reason for my specialism is that I have complete empathy with these situations. I understand how individuals can not see a way forward as my husband died at a young age in 2004 and it was a very long journey for me to find myself. My journey continues and I am now very fortunate to have my beautiful daughter who I adopted in 2011. I am telling you this not because this is about me – the treatments I provide are completely client focused – but because sometimes it is nice to know that the person you are asking to support you understands why there is a need to have that support and “gets” you.
I am completely ethical in my approach and make sure you get what you need – all the treatments I provide are completely tailored to your unique needs.
Why not give me a call to see how we could work together to help you overcome your personal obstacle? You have nothing to lose as I provide a free 30 minute telephone consultation, so you can discover if this approach is the one that will help you.
